The quality of saffron is crucial – not only for its aroma and color, but also for the health benefits that this "red gold" offers. To provide our customers with absolute transparency and safety, we have our saffron regularly analyzed by independent laboratories in Germany.

Our saffron was tested for physicochemical parameters by the German Laboratory for Microbiology and Hygiene in Hoyerswerda . The analysis focused on the three key active ingredients of saffron:

Crocine (responsible for the intense coloring power),

Picrocrocin (responsible for the bitter taste) and

Safranal (responsible for the characteristic aroma).
